Default How Many Are Using Apple Computers With Wildblue

So let us list all the folks that are using Apple computers instead of Window machines.

    This is my list.

    1. Apple PowerBook G4 15" laptop I got in Sept used off Craiglist

    2. Apple iMac (early 2008) 20" base model with upgrade ram to 4GB, the primary computer in the house.

    3. Apple MacBook unibody alum. (Late 2008) the base model that I bought for my wife's birthday to replace a old iBook. This my wife's primary computer.

I feel that this list will assist the moderators in knowing what we are using

I think that is the purpose of WB's diagnostic software . Your 'feelings' are fallacious.

    2 MacBooks
    2 PowerMac G4
    1 PowerMac G4 Quicksilver
    1 iMac Strawberry (iTunes library)

    And on the Windows side
1 Gateway desktop for the weather station
1 homebrew Windows box for game playing

All networked together and playing nice. No problems with FAP.

I am considering purchasing an iMac but I DO NOT want a NVIDIA GPU because of the recent failure rates. My 1.5 year old HP is experiencing a Video Display Error with my NVIDIA. ATI is the other option.

We do try to keep tabs on what systems our users are using on the WildBlue network. Right now, it's about 4% of customers who use Macs -- surprisingly low.

The question that comes to mind:
How do you determine a customers OS?

btw I use my mac for 99% of my computing needs
Mac's version of QuickBooks stinks so use a pc for that

My numbers come from Google Analytics from the people who are logging into WildBlue.net to read email, use their Start Page, etc. It's about 5 million visits per month, so the data is reasonably trustworthy.

An analogy that I have had fun with is between PC and Mac as Fords and Toyotas. Fords and PCs encourage getting 'under the hood' contrasted with Mac and Toyotas.

Pious drivers and Mac users aren't quite as adventurous as PC or Linux 'technicians'.
