One thing I haven't stated so far is that I wasn't notified of WABUSE until it had gone conciderably over the 80% upload threshhold(well over 100% now). That was my somewhat my fault for not monitoring it more closely. But, it has alway been disrupted when overcast, light rain or worse. I just thought it was normal untill I started reading some posts in different areas. Mabe the install was faulty, I don't know. Onlymy wife was home both times. She said the second was to put on the correct guage cable. And yess...I have called C/S & tech support.

I'm sorry you didn't get notified. We always send out a notice to the email address we have on file. If we had the wrong one on file, that might explain why you didn't get the notice.

If the signal is going out during clouds and light rain, then something's wrong with the install and/or maybe the equipment. I'm reading between the lines here, that if the original install was done with the wrong kind of cable, that leads me to be skeptical of the overall quality of the install. All installs should be done with solid copper core cable, but sometimes an installer will skimp and use cheaper steel-core cable, which is very bad for upstream data transmission and would result in a failed install if we audited it. If you want to send me your name and phone number, I can look up your account and try to estimate how much time you can expect for your speeds to be restored. Thank you.

    Cool WB Steve

Any luck finding out when my speeds will be restored? Downloads are at 38% and uploads are hovering at 129%. Downloads is the only one steadily dropping. I maintain my 'puter on a regular basis. I do have Limewire & bitcomet, but i disabled them in msconfig. they only run when I start the program. Anyway, I've had both programs for about a year to a year and a half and this is my first upload problem.

You will get UNFAPPED 31 day from whenever you uploaded a boat load of stuff.

Upload problems can come from a variety of sources including a email you sent that has got stuck in the out basket and been trying to send over and over for several day. For example if you sent a email with a 6MB attachment and for some reason it never sent properly and got stuck in the out basket. If your mail program automatically sends and receives mail twice ever hour over a period of 24 hours or maybe several days you can see what happens. Say for example if the 6MB message sends 5 of the 6 MB each time before it drops. Add 10MB every hour on top of your normal uploads and you can see what could happen. So it is worth while to check your outbasket once in a while to make sure there nothing stuck there.

Thank you very much for the ermail. I certainly shed some light on a lot of things. Is there a way a person can view this usage log on a daily basis? Now, The other part of my problem. My connection goes out when overcast or above weather conditions. After reading some of the posts, it seems there might have been a faulty equipment installation. WB Steve inquired abut this matter. Not sure where to go from here.
    Thanks again Steph

    Cool Bandwidth usage log

I have seen posts about a log a person can view to see their day-to-day download / upload usage. If there is, How w do I get to it?
