I live in upstate NY. My system was installed almost 4 months ago. I have been without service for 4 days now. The Tech staff has informed me that my modem needs replacement and the Dish is out of alignment. They set up a tech visit and the guy never showed. He had my phone number and said that google maps gave him the wrong address. Now I have to wait until Saturday. That will be 10 days without service. Over the past four days without no service I notice that my usage is .15GB per day. At this rate I will be out of download before the Tech shows up. No devices are attached to the modem and I do not have a live internet connection.
How can this happen? How do I prove it to ViaStat?
How can a modem go bad in less than 4 months? How can a satellite dish anchored to a pole in the ground with concrete get out of alignment?
Why do I have to pay exede for maintenance on equipment that they own and lease to me monthly?
Here is the great part..... I have no recourse. I am locked in for 24 months.
Don't believe any salesman regarding what he says. Ask for a copy of the contract before you sign it. You will be shocked at the provisions that they put in there. Not your normal ISP provider.
