    Angry Unhappy Exede User

    I live in upstate NY. My system was installed almost 4 months ago. I have been without service for 4 days now. The Tech staff has informed me that my modem needs replacement and the Dish is out of alignment. They set up a tech visit and the guy never showed. He had my phone number and said that google maps gave him the wrong address. Now I have to wait until Saturday. That will be 10 days without service. Over the past four days without no service I notice that my usage is .15GB per day. At this rate I will be out of download before the Tech shows up. No devices are attached to the modem and I do not have a live internet connection.

    How can this happen? How do I prove it to ViaStat?

    How can a modem go bad in less than 4 months? How can a satellite dish anchored to a pole in the ground with concrete get out of alignment?

    Why do I have to pay exede for maintenance on equipment that they own and lease to me monthly?

    Here is the great part..... I have no recourse. I am locked in for 24 months.

    Don't believe any salesman regarding what he says. Ask for a copy of the contract before you sign it. You will be shocked at the provisions that they put in there. Not your normal ISP provider.

    I've. Been with wildblue for about 4months and the same thing happen with my modem they say something was wrong with it or the alignment was off so they fixed that (NEW STUFF) but still I get timed out all The time so they credit my account and put me on commercial package I don't watch netflix just play killzone on ps3 that's it! But still I go over my bandwidth in less than a week and ah half wtf now they want to charge me 150.00 to disconnect my services WTF I've NOT EVEN GOT HALLS THE SERVICE I've PAID FOR well see if anyone contacts me

    Not sure who you are and what your access is to their system. If your an advocate for the company, then I need all the help you can provide. I just want what I thought I was going to get. 12MB Speed down and 7.5GB download.

    Thanks for your help. Also, I checked the usage today and found out that the rest of my download allowance was used up last night. How can that be. I have a broken modem, a dish out of alingment, and no internet connection.

    Donnie, playing games through ps3 will use up a lot of bandwidth if you are not careful. If you send me your account information in a PM, I would be happy to look into the technical issues you seem to be having.
