Getting email is not much faster than dialup
I have multiple email addresses which I get from multiple email servers all via POP. Except for attachments, downloading email seems almost a slow as on my dialup connection. I suspect this is due to latency and the many server requests required.
If I redirected all of my other emails to my wildblue (exede) email account, would it download faster as all requests would be going to your servers.
Can I set up my wildblue email for POP access? If so where is the mail/smtp/port information.
TIA,
Bill

Is all there under the "Sticky"

Thunderbird found all that for me and I show (Dish customer) pop.googlemail.com, port 995
GMail has been less than stellar for me. The wife has failed to receive a number of emails
that other people confirmed reception of. THEN I called to cancel my dialup and learned we
could keep our old (since 1998) Mindspring addresses for $5.00 a month. Sheesh.
