Can't check my modem now since I'm at work. I looked at the readings yesterday and everything was in the green. Tech support blames the slowdown on users abusing the system. Surely Viasat-1 isn't being taxed this badly already?

No, but the ground infrastructure apparently is. They're probably upgrading as the demand increases. It was slow around here last week but we're back to full speed again.

So, you reject the idiom "Give somebody an inch and they'll take a mile?"

With DAP not being enforced until July, I'll bet there are quite a few "feasting out."

Those folks who "need the speed" tend to be the first to come onboard a new system.

Dish tech support told me that WB began enforcing the DAP last week. Don't know for sure if that's true though. I hope that JSheridan is correct and that the ground infrastructure is the problem and that they are working on it. If not, it's going to be a long, slow 2 year contract for most of us.

NRTC (COOPS/REAs) - ViaSat will begin enforcing the Data Allowance Policy in July.

Technician showed up today and of course everything checks out ok with my set up. Dish alignment, cable, modem, tria all fine. Anyone's guess is as good as mine regarding the dial-up speeds I had over the weekend and on Memorial Day. Speeds are back to normal again though.
