Default So Far, So Good With Exede!

So far my experience with Exede has gone very well.

Got a card from my Cooperative on Wednesday, called on Thursday and they upgraded me on Friday (today). Previous speeds maxed at 1.6 Mbps. Currently getting 12 to 14 Mbps. Still has the latency delay but is SO much better then my previous service. Went with the basic package and I am a little concerned about the 10 GB combined download and upload data allowance. Will upgrade to the advanced package if it is a problem.

Installation took about 2 hours and used existing wiring. Netgear WNDR3700 Router (wired and wireless) is working as previous.

    Will update if anything changes.

Day 2 update: Still better then the previous version of WB but I am experiencing the evening slow down that others are reporting. Slows down to 1.5 to 3 Mbps. If Exede can fix this I will be well pleased with the new service.

If there is lots of traffic, your speed will slow down, there is nothing Exede can do to fix it. Also you are lucky to get your install done, I am still waiting for my to be install.... <--- Hit ViaSat

I have had WB for 7 years so I very familiar with the slow downs. My concern is, if it is slowing down this much already, what is it going to be like when more people sign up. Speed this morning was back up to 14.2 Mbps.

I was surprised by the quick install, I had expected it to take a week or so but when they called and said they had an opening the next day I jumped on it.

Overall, I am pleased with the new Exede. Even with the slowdowns it is still much faster then the old WB.
