    Default Download Zone For Exede

Does anybody know if the new Exede has a download zone. If they did, I would deffinately upgrade. With those low caps and speeds, they should consider a download zone. There would be a lot less complainers. If they don't plan on doing a download zone, then I am going to cancel this month and switch to HughesNet. They improve more than Wildblue does.

No. Free, un-metered zones are not offered with any of the Wildblue/Exede plans...everything you do is counted, 24/7...

Do you think I should wait for HughesNets new plans, and see what they have to offer. Because if they can have just about the same speeds wildblue exede is having, with a download zone, I'll be out of here right away.

I'm testing a demo unit for one of the retailers I contract for. Speed is out of sight, two hours in. I downloaded a 1 GB file in 26 minutes. Just insane. I have the AMC 15 Pro pack. I'm really undecided about Exede or Hughes. I always swore I'd never own a HughesNet...

Correct me if I am wrong, but with the "data management policies" that are suppose to be implemented, wouldn't it be hard to download 1GB of data on a satellite system without getting speed cutback at some point?

Not with Wildblue. You could in theory burn it all up in under 5 hours (on a 12-10 plan), downloading both seasons of The Walking Dead in HD. Its the same with my AMC-15 system.

We might get exede 25GB plan for $130 a month. Tell me if we're crazy, but we don't care. Sure it'll cost a lot, but we'll complain a lot less.

After testing with the demo unit, I bought a new system on the 25 gig plan. When I went back to AMC-15 it was just horrible lol. I put the Exede in at the house, and moved the Wildblue to my tool shed.
