PlugNickel, that seems to be two major issues here. No documentation is available and no one seem to know much.

My cable resistance was 1 ohm. I am having performance issues and they send out the installer again. He said that the needed to be closer to 10. He added a bunch more cable now the resistance reading is 2.5 and the attenuation is 9.

Now the speed is worse than it was before he came out. So, here we go again, again, and again.

I have a tech coming out today to replace my modem. I have no idea if it's bad or not, but it's the only thing we haven't replaced in an attempt to get my system to work consistently. New tria and cable two weeks ago; this is our last resort before I give up and go back to using carrier pigeons.

When it works, it works great; but it has been working less and less since our original install. Techies keep telling me the problem is at the other end, while customer support tells me I have equipment problems. Very very frustrating.

A QA guy came out and took photos of the installation and re-pointed the dish. Been working great ever since. During peak hours I am getting 6-7 Mbs. Non-peak hours seems to hang in the 11-15 Mbs range. I did see 20 Mbs once.

Mine has not been replaced, but my router has "lost" its assigned dynamic IP while online, every once in awhile.

I bought this Linksys E1000 router off of ebay, and with its original firmware, it could not connect to ViaSat's modem. After updating firmware, it worked. But, I think this ebay seller was dumping his problem onto someone else.

Solution for me is to access router's status menu, and when it indicates

    Internet IP Address 0.0.0.0

then release/renew information there. It's worked every-time I've done it.

Needless to say, with IP Address of 0.0.0.0, there is no internet activity.

Funny how many people seem to be experiencing the same problems a myself and a friend of mine who lives about 20minutes from my house. Both of us got Exede installed within a few days of each other. It worked terrifically for the first 3 weeks for the both of us, and then we both began having problems. He's already talking about paying his early termination fee and going with another option, and if it continues this way for me I'll be doing the same - but I will not be paying early termination fees, no matter how they try and spin it.

Wake up, Exede - you're on the verge of losing customers and money. Get your act together.

My speed dropped significantly within 3 days after working flawlessly. I called in after rebooting didn't do any good. The lady on the other end said that my modem didn't even show me connected. She was able to get my speed back, but still couldn't see me connected. I'm not sure what that means because I was able to surf and back at my normal speed so I'll take her word for it. She also scheduled a service call and the guy came to check everything out. All the numbers were fine so he switched the modem out. So far, so good after an entire week on the new modem.

I can't complain about the system because I realize it's new, but I do hope I can get all the bugs worked out before the warranty expires.
Excede customer; clueless about which beam, but really don't care as long as it works. Still a HughesNet defectee.

Modems/Trias and power bricks do fail, even when brand new.

Beam 122 would be a Wildblue Legacy Beam, with Gateway in Cheyenne.

If you live in western OK, Exede 5 would be available, and in eastern OK, Exede 12. Living around Guthrie, OK would mean Exede 12, if you have it on maybe beam 323
