Here's a link to an article engadget posted about our new services demo at CES. There's a video of the demo. This was the first demo we did at CES.

Thanks Steve. Obviously we have all been waiting, some more patiently than others.

We all know that you're a good guy Steve and very helpful. So nothing personal but these caps are....well you'll delete my post if a say what I'm thinking. And I was told incorrect information when I signed up. I asked the rep whether they would have Recovery Act plans on the new satellite and if so could I switch. He said no problem, just need new equipment. So I signed up for the Recovery Act and now I'm stuck. For me to get the cap that I have now (17 Gbs), I would have to pay over 80 bucks a month instead of the 40 I pay now. Obviously, I'll get a lot better speeds but who cares about speed when you only get 7.5 Gb's for 50 bucks. I download two HD movies and I'm done. The point is why can't WildBlue offer lower speeds and more cap space? Offer 3 or 4 Mbps with 30 to 40 Gbs like on the new Recovery Act plans. We don't need more speed if we get less cap.
If you're on our Recovery Act plan, you're getting a very good deal under that government program. There also should be other Recovery Act plans available if you wish to upgrade to a bigger plan within the Recovery Act. The idea is that these plans will make the vast majority of people happy because of the faster speeds.

I think most of the posters here and the ones on the Wildblue facebook page have voiced disappointment with these new packages from a bandwidth standpoint. I'm on the Pro package which is $80.00/month and I get 17GB down and 5 GB (total 22 GB) . With the corresponding Exede package I get 15GB and it is combined download and upload, and I pay an additional $10/month rental for the modem (and 2 year contract with a startup fee). How Exede can make the statement "Our new Exede service speeds make us very competitive with wireless home broadband service, as well as legacy DSL and many cable services." is beyond me. The statement should have read "still the service of last resort".

I would like better plans for existing customers who don't use government assistance to get Internet!
