Thread: lousy, limited payment method

  1. Default lousy, limited payment method

I'm not sure if anyone at Wildblue reads this stuff, but if you do, I've been with WB over 3 year, its hard for me to believe a company that can put a Satellite in orbit can't spend the money on a website payment method which gives the customer some options, there needs to be other choices beside direct billing. If there were other satellite internet choices in the market place I'm sure it would cost you customers.

I personally like it billed to my credit card. I don't have to worry about a late payment.

WB's niche is rural subscribers without an alternative other than dial-up.

Doug what does that have to do with alternative payment options?

Thank god I have overdraft protection.

I can see the Postal Service going out of business in the foreseeable future.

We appologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Our billing system is designed to store a payment method on file and automatically charge it when the bill cycles every month. At this time we have no other way to accept payments. If you have any questions or concerns about your bill please feel free to send me a private message and I will be happy to assist you.

We do have a couple of choices: you can do a direct debit from your bank account or have it charged to a credit card. We don't do paper statements (we love trees), so a mail-in option doesn't exist.

Thanks for replying to the post I left about limited payment methods, maybe I should have been a little more specific about what I'd like to see WB do. I too enjoy making payments with a Credit card online, but every company I deal with I get to control when I pay and how I pay, I just had a very bad experience with WB, the card I had on file was a working card in good standing, but you called and tell me it declined, again, if you folks can hang something in space I know you can do better.
I believe you require a card on file so you have complete control of the customer, you have them locked in so you can pull the payment when its due. Customers want control, I don't have time to get on the phone and deal with this payment thing all the time.
Spend the time and the money to give us what most other companies offer.
