Make more sense please? I think your trying to say that the contract means that the speeds need to be as stated? Well they arent.

FailedInternet,,,run the test at "http://www.testmy.net" and post your results,,, Your $50. package may not get you up into the GB range.. May need to go "PRO".

Most times in my area, if we don't know the guy, we find out, then let him know what a good butt kicker we are... If the Biscuits are burned, I don't blame the P. B. Dough Boy, the store that sold them, nor the Electric company.

I hope this explains it a little bit clearer for you. Your package speed, whichever it is you are subscribed to, is guaranteed up to the stated number for your package.

Satellite internet is a shared bandwidth service so the bandwidth of your gateway is dependent upon how many users are on at any give time so the speed that is listed for your service is not 24/7. Sometimes you will get better than; sometimes less than but because of the users online at any one time, it cannot be guaranteed.

Hence, the FAP so that no one "hogs" the bandwidth, leaving others with very little.

The value package is up to 512. Yours is 509 which is well within that package. For faster speeds you will need to upgrade to either the Select for 1.0 or Pro package at 1.5.

No other equipment needed. Just call customer service & you will need to unplug the modem for a few minutes for the upgrade to take place.
