Account Name: your full Dishmail email address (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Email Address: your full Dishmail email address (email@example.com)
Password: your Dishmail password
Incoming Mail (POP3) Server:
Select option to use SSL
Use port 995
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server:
Select option to use authentication (for the mail server, not “Secure Password Authentication”)
Select option to use TLS, STARTTLS, or SSL
Use port 587 or port 465 (choose one)
Launch Outlook 2007.
Click the Tools menu, and select Account Settings.
Under the E-mail tab, click New.
If you are prompted to Choose E-mail Service, select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, and click Next.
On the Auto Account Setup page, fill in the following information:
Your Name: How you want your name to appear on email that you send.
E-mail Address: Your full Dishmail email address (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Password: Your DISHMail.net password for that email address; re-enter it next to Retype Password.
Check the box next to Manually configure server settings....
Then click Next.
Select the radio button for Internet E-mail and click Next.
On the Internet E-mail Settings page, fill in the following information:
Incoming mail server: pop.gmail.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com
User Name: Your full Dishmail email address (email@example.com).
Password: Your DISHMail.net password for that email address.
Then click More Settings.
Click the Outgoing Server tab, and check the box for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authorization.
Make sure that the radio button next to Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.
Click the Advanced tab:
Check the box next to This server requires an encypted connection (SSL). Change the Incoming server (POP3) port to 995 if needed.
Change the Outgoing server (SMTP) port to 587 or 465 (choose one).
Change the dropdown next to Use the following type of encrypted connection to SSL.
This returns you to the Internet E-mail Settings page. Click Test Account Settings. You should receive a Congratulations! message.
Click Next then click Finish.
On the E-mail Accounts page, a new entry for a DISHMail.net email address should now be visible.
If it does not say that it is the default connection, click the DISHMail.net entry and select Set as Default.
