Account Name: your full Dishmail email address (email@example.com)
Email Address: your full Dishmail email address (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Password: your Dishmail password
Incoming Mail (POP3) Server:
Select option to use SSL
Use port 995
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server:
Select option to use authentication (for the mail server, not “Secure Password Authentication”)
Select option to use TLS, STARTTLS, or SSL
Use port 587 or port 465 (choose one)
Apple Mail 2.x
Open Apple Mail.
Click Mail and select Preferences...
Select the Accounts icon and click the plus sign (+) at the bottom left to add a new account.
On this Account Information screen:
Make sure that the Email Address is your full DISHMail.net email address (email@example.com).
In the Incoming Mail Server field, enter pop.gmail.com.
Make sure that the User Name is also your full DISHMail.net email address (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Enter your DISHMail.net Password. If you have changed your password, make sure this is your current password.
Select the Advanced tab.
Make sure that the Port is set to 995, that Use SSL is checked, and that Authentication is set to Password.
Then select the Account Information tab.
From the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) dropdown, select Add Server....
On this Add Server screen:
In the Outgoing Mail Server field, enter smtp.gmail.com.
For the Server port field, enter 587 or 465 (choose one).
Check the box for Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
For the Authentication dropdown, choose Password.
Make sure the User Name is your full DISHMail.net Email Address (email@example.com).
Enter your DISHMail.net Password.
Make sure that the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) is set to the server setting you just created. Then, select the General icon.
This will bring up a pop-up window - select Save. Then exit out of the preferences screens.
